An Art Deco skyscraper landmark on Loyola’s campus, housing restored theatres, an auditorium, and art galleries.
Description

Founded in 1930 by the Sisters of the Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the site began as the first self-contained skyscraper college for women in the world. By the time it joined Loyola University Chicago 60 years later, it stood as the last four-year women's college in Illinois. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the restored tower—often referred to simply as the "skyscraper building"—houses an atrium and university classrooms alongside its performance venues.
