Mr. Espresso

Carlo and Marie Di Ruocco started the company to bring Italian espresso craftsmanship to the Bay Area, establishing an operation that remains one of the only roasters in the country relying entirely on wood fuel. Firing the roasters with seasoned oak from Northern California allows for a slower, more even roast—an old-world method that reduces acidity while enhancing sweetness to produce a fuller flavor and smoother finish.
