Morris Arboretum Night Trains: Tickets Open Nov 9
Miniature trains loop past lit landmarks after dark on 12 nights from Nov 28, with member tickets Nov 2 and public tickets Nov 9.
🚂 Twelve Nights Under Lights
🌙 After Dark on the Railway
The Holiday Garden Railway is a third of a mile of track looping through tunnels and past miniature Philadelphia landmarks. After dark, laser lights play in the trees, string lights outline the rails, and the small houses glow as the trains come through. It runs on 12 nights, Nov 28 and 29, Dec 5 and 6, Dec 10 to 13, and Dec 17 to 20, and about an hour covers the whole visit, including a 10 to 15 minute walk each way from the Welcome Center.
🎫 Night Tickets Only
Night admission is a separate advance ticket, $22 for adults and $12 for ages 3 to 17, or $17 and $10 with a membership, and children 2 and under are free. Members can book from November 2, everyone else from November 9, and each ticket carries an arrival time. A daytime ticket, a PennCard, or a member card will not cover the night event. If a night sells out, another date is the practical move.
🅿️ Parking, Path, and Weather
Night parking is limited, and arriving more than 15 minutes off your slot can mean waiting for a space. Path lighting is sparse. Non-slip shoes and a flashlight help. Heavy rain, snow, or ice can cancel a night, and a cancellation is refunded in full by email. Only the railway and Out on a Limb are open after dark, and everything closes at 8 p.m. Official info: morrisarboretum.org/see-do/holiday-garden-railway (checked 11/01).
