Morning on Sedona's Red Rocks, Afternoon in Page Springs Wine Country
A twelve-hour private day out of Phoenix that spends under two of those hours walking, and gives the rest to a table in Uptown Sedona and two vineyards in Page Springs.
Sedona's red rock country sits far enough north of Phoenix that most attempts to do it in a day end up as a string of pull-offs and a long drive home in the dark. DukOUT Adventures goes the other way and books the entire day for it. The walking is only an hour and a half to two hours of the twelve. The rest goes to the drive, a sit-down lunch in Uptown Sedona, and a flight of wine at each of two vineyards down in Page Springs.

It runs private, up to thirteen people, with hotel pickup from Phoenix and Scottsdale, and it has been listed since December 2017.
The Sedona Experience - Hiking, Lunch and Wine Tasting (Private Tour)From $375 per person · 12 hours · Rated 5.0 from 88 reviews · Hotel pickup from Phoenix and Scottsdale includedwww.viator.comThe hike is the short part

The booking page puts the walk at an hour and a half to two hours in the Sedona red rocks and does not name the trail. What it does name is the standard you need to meet: a moderate level of physical fitness, comfortable walking shoes, and a note that it is not recommended for anyone with back problems.
That is a deliberately short walk for a region people come to specifically to walk in. Read it as the point rather than a shortfall — the day is built so that the hike leaves you capable of enjoying lunch and two tastings afterwards, which a hard half-day on the rocks would not.
Lunch in Uptown, then down to Page Springs

Lunch is a sit-down meal at a local restaurant in Uptown Sedona, and the operator handles the money as a $30 per person credit rather than a set menu: you order off the restaurant's own list and the credit comes off the bill. The booking page also ticks lunch flatly under what is included, so read the $30 as the ceiling the operator covers and anything above it as yours. There is unstructured time afterwards for the Uptown shops before the van heads out.
The wine happens in Page Springs, down in the Verde Valley southwest of town. You get a flight at each of two vineyards, five to seven pours per vineyard. Which two is the guide's call on the day; the listing says only that they are the operator's own favourites in the area.
What “private” covers here
The operator draws this line itself, in its own listing, and it is worth reading before you book: the tour is private with respect to the vehicle and your guide, while the restaurant and both vineyards are working businesses with other customers in them. Nobody is clearing a tasting room for your group.
Two booking terms matter as much as the itinerary. All sales are final and no refund is available for cancellations — that is the operator's cancellation policy in full. Separately, the tour carries a minimum headcount, and the listing says it may be cancelled after confirmation if that number is not met, in which case you are offered an alternative or a full refund. So the operator keeps an exit that you do not have. The age floor is 21, which is the wine rather than the walking.
Before you book
Departure is 07:00, every day of the week, and the pickup runs earlier than that: the listing says hotel pickups commence roughly 30 to 60 minutes beforehand, from selected hotels in Phoenix and Scottsdale, with the exact time given to you at reconfirmation. Plan the morning from about six, not from seven.
Bottled water, snacks, beverages, lunch, both tastings and the guide-driver are in the price. Gratuities are not. The guide works in English.
Party size is the one place the listing argues with itself. The booking requirements will take a single traveller and cap at thirteen, the adult fare is written for a two-person minimum, and the live availability schedule prices the trip for four to eleven adults. The operator's own warning that a minimum headcount applies — and that the trip can be cancelled after confirmation if it is not met — lines up with the larger number. A couple booking on their own should expect to be waiting on other bookings to firm up.
Red rock in the morning, a table in Uptown at midday, a glass poured in Page Springs while the light goes long. Someone else drives all of it.
