Morning Espresso Meets Evening Drinks Beside Central Park
Start with breakfast sandwiches at Cafe Amrita, where laptop users give way to a crowd watching games on TV.
☕ A Cafe With Two Identities
Cafe Amrita gives the northwest corner of Central Park a neighborhood hangout with two identities, coffee shop and bar. Morning espresso starts things off, with sidewalk tables bringing part of the cafe outside. During the day, Columbia students work on laptops, readers pair hot chocolate with muffins, and parents stop for snacks before dinner.
Lunch brings specialty sandwiches, while weekend brunch includes pancakes. Later, the crowd shifts toward watching games on the big TV. Beer, wine, and cocktails give the bar side of the operation its own place alongside the coffee service. The menu also includes panini and salads. Bagels and pastries give the counter a couple more food options.
At 301 W 110th St, doors open at 8 AM daily and close at 5 PM Monday, 11 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and midnight Thursday and Friday. Takeout is also available.
