Moore Garden
5.0 (3)park
A vibrant community garden where neighbors cultivate amaranth, bitter melons, and flowers across 29 tended plots.
Description

Founded in 1985 under the motto “Moore Garden, Less Street,” the space centers on soil care and neighborhood exchange. Plots reflect Bangladeshi, Trinidadian, Puerto Rican, and Albanian gardening traditions, yielding tomatillos, mustard greens, lavender, and native perennials alongside everyday vegetables.
Mornings and evenings bring multiple languages into the open air as gardeners and their families gather to share growing tips and produce. Right at the entrance, the grounds include a single ADA-compliant raised bed next to the gates.
