Description

Spanning the Utah-Arizona border, this 91,696-acre park offers a raw look at the high desert, centered on the towering silhouettes of the Mitten Buttes and Merrick Butte. You can navigate the terrain via a 17-mile scenic loop drive, or opt for guided Jeep tours that reach deeper landmarks like the Ear of the Wind. Beyond the vistas, the park serves as a hub for authentic handmade jewelry and crafts sold by local Navajo artisans. For those on foot, the 1.5-mile Wildcat Trail provides a closer encounter with the valley floor. Note that this is a working Tribal park with specific restrictions, including a prohibition on drones, rock climbing, and pets.
