Intimate cultural workshops in Hauula, from hands-on fireknife training to traditional lei making and kava tastings.
Description
Rather than passive performances, the focus here is on learning through participation and conversation led by local practitioners. The workshops explore the traditions, stories, and community values behind each practice. During the fireknife workshop, participants delve into the history and culture of the dance alongside hands-on training, spinning a flaming blade in an environment visitors note felt comfortable and safe.
