Description

Located within the New York Botanical Garden, this trail shifts the focus from manicured floral displays to a quieter, functional ecosystem. While it is not as colorful as other gardens on the grounds, the meandering path offers a close look at how swamps, marshes, and ponds work as natural water filters to remove debris from the water supply. Informative signs explain this ecological role alongside displays of cattails, sedges, and water lilies. The route also serves as a peaceful connector, leading directly to other spots like Daffodil Hill and the picnic area.
