Mission Trail at Camino Coahuilteca
4.3 (10)park
An eight-mile river paddle winding past historic missions, with restored riparian banks and dozens of canoe chutes.
Description

Starting just south of Downtown San Antonio at Roosevelt Park, the water route runs downstream to the Camino Coahuilteca takeout by Mission Espada. The river corridor is flanked by 15 miles of hike and bike trails, bordering municipal and county green spaces alongside San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. To keep paddlers moving when water drops, more than 30 built-in chutes allow vessels to pass through riffles during low flow levels.
