Mission Memorial Building
5.0 (2)attraction
Hawaii’s only example of Jeffersonian architecture, this red-brick 1916 landmark now anchors Honolulu's civic center.
Description

Dedicated on April 16, 1916, the site was commissioned by the Hawaii Evangelical Association to mark the centennial commemoration of the arrival of American Protestant missionaries. Following renovations, the building currently houses municipal offices, including the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Customer Services’ Public Information Center. Next to it, the Mission Memorial Auditorium functions as a public venue, hosting departmental activities and local non-profit cultural and arts events.
