Mimi's Brooklyn

Founded in 2009 by Mimi Kitani, the menu draws on family heritage in Israel, Morocco, and the Kurdish region of Iraq. Beyond the bread and hummus, choices include shakshuka, chicken shawarma, braided beets, and platters of seasoned lamb kebab with farro tabbouleh. Inside, a shop sells plants, drinks, and baked goods, while dining is outdoor-only within a comfortable greenhouse setup.
