Millbrae Museum
5.0 (2)museum
A restored 1895 water company home anchors this local museum, filled with period furnishings and town artifacts.
Description

The museum grounds grew out of grassroots preservation efforts in the 1970s, spurred by the razing of the historic Sixteen Mile House and the fight to save the local railroad depot. That rescued 1907 Southern Pacific Depot now operates as the Millbrae Train Museum. The nearby Carriage House Museum showcases a vintage 1936 American LaFrance fire engine and a refurbished carriage, alongside exhibits covering the Mills Estate, early firefighting, cameras and photography, local sports figures, and vintage Hollywood films.
