A walkable municipal course pairing fast Champion Bermuda greens with an engaging, strategic layout.
Description

Set in the Duck Creek floodplain, this 154-acre track was built by Leon Howard in the 1960s and transformed by a 2013 overhaul that expanded play to nearly 7,000 yards with 20 new bunkers. The revamp brought a much stiffer test that earned Course of the Year honors from the Texas Turfgrass Association upon its 2014 reopening. Today, multiple tee locations keep the sharper angles and hard-breaking greens manageable across different skill levels. Facilities are straightforward—the pro shop and snack bar cover the essentials—leaving the emphasis squarely on the round.
