Description

Designed by Johnston Marklee, the building stands as the first freestanding facility in the United States specifically created for the exhibition, study, conservation, and storage of modern and contemporary drawings. Sited in Houston's Montrose neighborhood, the structure harmonizes with surrounding trees and the Menil Collection’s iconic gray bungalows, hosting rotating exhibitions praised alongside the striking architecture itself.
