Description

Planted in 1930 by his descendants, this heritage Plateau Live Oak (Quercus fusiformis) stands at a triangular intersection just north of the Pearl. The tree grows broad rather than tall, spanning wider than its 35-foot height. Beside it, a stone memorial marker dedicated by the Menefee family honors the Texas Founding Father.
