4.5 (725)museum
Housed in a converted fire station, this museum explores Montreal’s identity through intimate, citizen-led stories and immersive tech.
Description

This museum occupies a former fire station to focus on the city's past, present, and evolving culture. Rather than a singular chronological sweep, it centers on community-led stories, using personal accounts and artifacts to frame the broader history of Montreal. The exhibits rely heavily on creative digital media, including a notable 180-degree screen for time-travel sequences. While the physical footprint is relatively compact, the design balances open, free-to-explore public areas with two private, ticketed exhibits that dive deeper into specific thematic narratives.
