Meet a Different Kind of Pack in Central Park 🐕
A group of bronze, stone, and steel dog sculptures settles into Central Park, shifting mood as the light changes.
🐾 A Pack in Bronze and Stone
Presented by Public Art Fund, Camille Henrot: Dogs is on view at Doris C. Freedman Plaza in Central Park from September 9, 2026, through August 29, 2027. The outdoor exhibition is free to visit.
Marking Camille Henrot's first public art exhibition in New York, the show brings together a group of dog sculptures made from bronze, stone, steel, and concrete. Henrot draws inspiration from Saul Steinberg's drawings, Tex Avery cartoons, ancient Egyptian sculpture, dog shows, and more.
Playful yet slightly surreal, the sculptures blend into Central Park's paths, trees, and skyline, taking on new moods as the light changes. Beyond their charming forms, the works explore attachment, dependence, domestication, and the complex bond between humans and animals.
Stop by Doris C. Freedman Plaza near Fifth Avenue and 60th Street the next time you enter Central Park, and don't forget your camera. 📸
