Set on North Front Street, the casual room draws on an homage to an Asian-American upbringing, turning out bold interpretations of traditional Southeast Asian street food alongside fresh small plates. The project pairs its energetic pace with an ethos of serving the local community and paying it forward. Even the name stays grounded in family lore: Mecha translates to “mom and pop” in Vietnamese, while doubling as a playful nod to a grandmother’s curse word when caught acting up.
