Description

Rooted in a 1962 gift of paintings and funds by Dallas businessman Algur H. Meadows, the institution tracks Spanish art across a millennium. The holdings stretch from medieval objects and Baroque sculptures to Golden Age and modern paintings by Velázquez, Goya, and Miró. Outside, an outdoor sculpture plaza displays prominent twentieth-century works, paired with building architecture and peaceful, uncrowded galleries that visitors regularly praise.
