Mead Community Garden

As one of the first community gardens in Winter Park, the site centers on long-term local cultivation. Residents and their families rent a bed for a full year spanning four growing seasons, maintaining individual 4-by-16-foot plots organically to grow fruit and vegetables to keep and share. In addition to the dedicated beds raised for Second Harvest Food Bank, growers routinely donate excess harvest from their own plots.
