McMenamins Barley Mill Pub

In the summer of 1983, Mike and Brian McMenamin poured their first beer here, using the space to shape their concept of an easygoing neighborhood gathering place. Beyond the Grateful Dead tributes, the room collects years of company-contributed artwork and artifacts alongside pinball machines and casual pub fare. It also marks the spot where Captain Neon was born, with pub areas usually restricted to guests 21 and older.
