McLaughlin Eastshore State Park State Seashore
4.5 (1,920)park
Spanning 8.5 miles from Richmond to Oakland, this shoreline park links tidal marshes, mudflats, and multi-use trails.
Description

Reaching south toward the east anchorage of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, the park takes in both open tidelands and upland territory. Its bayward reaches encompass specific habitats, including the Emeryville Crescent, Albany Mudflat, and Hoffman Marsh. Much of the upland ground was created through fill placed west of the historic shoreline, leaving a stretch shaped by natural coastal dynamics alongside direct human intervention.
