Description

Set deep within Maunawili Valley on Oʻahu's east side, the trek navigates rainforest terrain that can be extremely muddy and slippery. Following closures of the original trailhead, access typically runs via the Maunawili Demonstration Trail, linking through connectors like the historic Old Pali Road. At the base of the cascade, the basin is known for cliff-jumping spots from varying heights, though leaps from the uppermost ledge have resulted in serious injuries.
