Description

Following the ins and outs of the Koolaupoko range from the Pali Hairpin Turn toward Waimanalo, the trail opens to clear views of Mount Olomana, Mount Konahuanui, and Maunawili valley. It is a long, rugged trek that demands plenty of daylight, trading easy walking for thick mud, slippery stretches, and trip hazards under the canopy. Unfamiliar hikers can easily lose their bearings on the way back out, making route awareness as essential as sturdy footing.
