Mattamy Athletic Centre

While the facility now serves as a modern hub for Toronto Metropolitan University athletics and community programming, it remains a site of architectural transformation. The conversion into a state-of-the-art arena and varsity court prioritizes clean, functional amenities and accessibility, though those seeking the original aesthetic of the historic Maple Leaf Gardens may find the contemporary upgrades have shifted the site’s sensory character. For attendees, the configuration is notably efficient, placing spectators right up close to the action during university sports and professional events. It functions as a versatile, high-traffic space where the modern infrastructure creates a stark contrast to the landmark's earlier iteration.
