Matcha Lava Cake and Boba, Open to Midnight in the East Village
Green tea, yuzu, and boba turn into shareable dessert tapas that keep going long after dinner ends.
🍵 Dessert Tapas After Dinner
St. Marks Place runs late, and this narrow dessert bar is where the East Village lands when dinner is finished but the night is not. The menu reads like dessert tapas, small plates built to pass around the table. Green tea threads through much of it, from a matcha molten cake with a warm center to a scoop of green tea ice cream. There are cookies, cakes, and a rotating set of pastries, plus yuzu and citrus drinks and a full lineup of boba. One plate arrives looking like a tiny potted herb, chocolate soil and all, set in a terracotta pot. Order a few and share everything, then let the table debate the last spoonful. The doors stay open to midnight most nights, and until 1 AM on Friday and Saturday, which makes it an easy last stop after a show or a long dinner nearby.
