Description

Rooted in years spent along the water between Honolulu, Key West, and her native Portland, Mary O’Shea channels a 5,000-year-old fused glass tradition into studies of coastal fauna. Her process leans on documenting wildlife like a biologist, capturing Great Blue Herons, egrets, and goliath groupers. The resulting work emphasizes shifting textures and reflective light, with colors that morph with movement across the cooled glass.
