Description
The park traces back to Martin Weiss, who operated a successful millinery supply business in Dallas. In 1928, Weiss bought and preserved the historic Hord home at 1111 Martindell for use as a community center. In 1935, the Park Board officially named both the grounds and the center Martin Weiss.
