Marshall Park
4.7 (254)park
Wooded trails wind through a lush 26-acre canyon, tracing Tryon Creek past a rocky waterfall and stone bridge.
Description

Before becoming parkland, the site was an abandoned quarry and marginal ground, transformed by F. C. and Addie Marshall over years before the city accepted it in 1951. The terrain forms a 400-foot-wide drainage basin fed by runoff from Mt Sylvania and the Palatine Hills. Beyond the quiet walking routes through the greenery, the grounds include newly replaced pedestrian bridges and an accessible playground.
