Description

Once the site of four successive City Hall buildings and later a parking lot, this civic plot reopened in 2010 as an energetic downtown gathering spot. Winding paths lead past the quiet reflection of Lauren's Garden memorial and the 25-foot-tall Points of View sculpture by James Surls, which has anchored the grounds since 1992. Today, the plaza stays active with regular programming from Downtown Houston+, hosting live entertainment, farmers markets, and cultural events alongside an upcoming French-inspired bistro from Chef Omar Pereney.
