Description

Originally known as Encanto Park, the site along Ritchey Street in Southeastern San Diego was renamed in the spring of 1994 following its redevelopment to honor native civic leader Marie C. Widman. It serves as a central neighborhood anchor where the community comes together to celebrate Black culture, history, and local heritage.
