Operating on the first floor of the downtown library, Marianne’s builds on the cafe model DC Central Kitchen established in Ward 8 in 2019. The space is named in honor of Chef Marianne Ali, the long-time leader of the Culinary Job Training program. Alongside serving beverages, the location focuses on providing on-the-job training to youth and adults facing barriers to employment.
