Description

Where East First Street, Boyle, and Pleasant Avenues converge a little over a mile from downtown Los Angeles, the plaza serves as the center of the neighborhood community. Professional musicians wait ready to be hired to play in restaurants, private parties, or community events. On the west side of the square stands the historic 1889 Boyle Hotel—better known as the “Mariachi Hotel”—where the vast majority of the mariachis live.
