Margaret Elizabeth Jonsson Color Garden
4.7 (15)park
A 6.5-acre garden of dramatic seasonal color, shifting from thousands of spring azaleas to lush summer greenery.
Description

Designed by Naud Burnett II, the grounds unfold in sweeping beds framed by cherry blossoms and crape myrtles. Spring brings daffodils and tulips alongside more than 2,000 varieties of azaleas, before summer introduces bananas and tapioca plants and autumn turns to bright chrysanthemums. Within the layout, the Palmer Fern Dell offers a shady respite planted with camellias, ferns, and perennials, while a Waterwise display demonstrates how home gardeners can install and manage a low-water landscape.
