Manning Bar

Tucked into the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus, Manning Bar makes up in sightlines what it lacks in size. The tiered audience space and split levels mean a clear view of the stage from anywhere, even when some gigs get quite packed. A big outdoor balcony offers breathing room, and the newly renovated toilets are cleaner than most gig venues. The Smith St Band recently played a nearly two-hour set here, and the bar service holds up its end. Atmosphere, though, depends on how full it is.
