Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden
4.4 (232)park
A quiet, volunteer-run demonstration garden showcasing Southern California native habitats, from coastal dunes to chaparral.
Description

Set on the west side of Polliwog Park, the two-thirds-acre space arranges coastal sage scrub, riparian woodland, and coastal prairie into overlapping zones. While visitors note its relatively small footprint, the garden functions as a guide for water-conserving home landscapes that attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. The grounds feature plant identification signs and gardening handouts for earth-friendly planting, alongside drop-in volunteer sessions.
