Founded in 2002 by best friends Futoshi "Tao" Takazato and Kanya "Fai" Thongprasert, the restaurant takes its name from the beckoning cat. The kitchen draws directly from both owners' roots, preparing Japanese and Okinawan dishes inspired by Tao's childhood favorites alongside homemade Thai plates from recipes passed down by Fai's mother.
