Manchester Academy Puts Four Stages on Your Solo Radar
Explore a university gig complex at your own pace, with four rooms and a Manchester address to build your evening around.
🎸 Choose your own soundtrack
Going to a gig alone leaves the choice of soundtrack entirely yours. At Manchester Academy on Oxford Road, the useful detail is four distinct stages within one live music complex, spanning Academy 1, Academy 2, Academy 3 and Club Academy.
The glass entrance tower and brick frontage give you a visual landmark before the focus shifts to the stage. The complex is part of the University of Manchester student union. Keep the individual room name in view when deciding which performance suits you.
Pick a show around your own listening tastes. A solo plan can start with one artist you already follow, or a name that simply makes you curious.
