Machate Circle

Set at the southwest entrance of Prospect Park, this grassy traffic circle is generally not somewhere people spend a lot of time. While the trees and landscaping offer an attractive approach to the park, visitors note a lack of regular upkeep. The intersection can also be tough to navigate, with a lane layout that creates difficult traffic conditions for both drivers and pedestrians. During the winter, the ornate stone benches serve as a site for the local Mulchfest.
