Luscomb's Point
4.8 (919)attraction
A rugged bluff along Sunset Cliffs with sea caves, tide pools, and wide-open views of surfers riding the Pacific break.
Description

Named after 1930s surfer Happy Luscomb, this coastal perch has long served as a gathering point for photographers, local fishers, and evening sunset watchers. The bluff remains exposed, characterized by no fences or guardrails along the drop-off above the crashing surf. Down below the rock shelf, sea cave entrances emerge at negative tide for low-water exploration, while weekday afternoons leave the windswept overlook calm and unhurried for a cliffside picnic.
