Description

Set along San Diego’s northern edge between Rancho Santa Fe and 4S Ranch, the land is managed under the County’s Multiple Species Conservation Program to protect and restore native wildlife. The habitat supports protected plants like Del Mar Manzanita and California adolphia, alongside species of special concern such as the San Diego Horned Lizard, Coronado Skink, Orange-throated Whiptail, and Red Diamond Rattlesnake. Navigation centers on a roughly 3-mile trail system, which connects directly to mildly beaten paths that can stretch routes up to 10 miles.
