Description

The charitable foundation was originally created for the poor, destitute, and infirm people of Hawaiian descent, with an express preference for the elderly. First opened in Makiki in 1883, the home relocated in 1928 to its current Honolulu grounds. Today, ongoing services span residential care, short-term respite care, an adult day care center, and meals-to-go, guided by core Hawaiian values.
