Description
Staged within the historic Paramount Theatre, this performance centers on an intricate retelling of Dia de los Muertos traditions. The Oakland Ballet moves through a series of vignettes that lean into the occasion's dual capacity for solemn reflection and exuberant, high-energy pageantry. Expect a production that foregrounds costume and movement as much as music, drawing on the cultural weight of the holiday to frame its choreographed ensemble narratives.
