Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Fruko, & Carmelo Torres

This concert serves as a rare Afro-Colombian folk showcase, uniting musical lineages that seldom share a stage. The performance brings together the foundational sounds of traditional gaita masters with the seasoned experience of salsa icon Fruko. They are joined by accordionist Carmelo Torres, whose playing rounds out this specific exploration of Colombian rhythmic heritage. By pairing legendary folk practitioners with a titan of the salsa genre, the program creates a bridge between ceremonial gaita traditions and popular tropical music forms.
