Longboat Hall

Originally built as the West End YMCA gymnasium, this heritage space is named for 1907 Boston Marathon winner Tom Longboat, who trained here early in the century. Today, sandstone brick walls rise twenty feet to a patterned ceiling above a polished concrete floor, while cast-iron pillars support a wooden balcony. The bar is backed by slate recovered from the roof restoration of The Great Hall. Known for exceptional acoustics, the room features a warm wood interior that hosts acoustic shows and indie performances.
