Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club (Southern California)

Founded in 1998, this non-profit member of the Southern California Outrigger Racing Association centers its community on perpetuating Hawaiian and Polynesian canoe culture. Launching into calm waters off Naples Island, the club structures its lineup from foundational and recreational paddling up to competitive racing. Sessions bring together complete novices and experienced athletes to train barefoot in clothes ready to get soaked, sharing focused water workouts and races rooted in the aloha spirit.
