Alt-Italia is the second Italian edition of the bar's Alt series, and more than twenty alternative, unique and limited bottles are open at once. Seven importers fill the table, among them Rosenthal Wine Merchant and Louis/Dressner, with Loci, Cream Wine Co., Jenny & Francois, SelectioNaturel and Zev Rovine Selections. The lineup is set for side-by-side comparison.
🥂 How the Evening Runs
Nobody sits down for this one. You take a glass at the start and move along the table at your own pace, tasting as you go. The room stays social through both sessions, and bottles poured that night sell at retail discounts for anyone who wants to take one home.
🎟️ Tickets, Timing, and the Bar
Two sessions run inside the posted 6:00 to 9:00 PM window, one starting at 6:00 PM and one at 7:30 PM. The venue's poster lists twenty dollars to taste, and it suggests buying a ticket ahead to hold a spot in the session you want. Wine Club members enter free, one ticket per membership. New members had to join by October 20, and that window has closed for this tasting. The bar opens at 5:00 PM and happy hour runs to 7:00 PM. Entry is 21 and over.
