Loʻi Kalo Mini Park
4.2 (39)park
A quiet Mōʻiliʻili pocket park where restored Hawaiian taro patches meet a peaceful pond and an off-leash dog run.
Description

Tucked right beside the H-1 eastbound freeway, this one-acre green space is kept up by local volunteers alongside the city's parks department. Beside the active wetland kalo patches, the grounds open to birdwatching by the pond, which also offers room to launch a kayak or small craft despite a muddy shoreline. Created with the Hawaiian Humane Society as the city's sixth off-leash dog facility, the park includes a 9,325-square-foot fenced area with separate spaces for large and small dogs.
