Grapes and Grains brings a little 1920s Chicago to the West Loop, with exposed brick, Chesterfield sofas and vintage chandeliers surrounding a baby grand piano. Whiskey, wine and cocktails start the evening in lounge mode, before live performances lift the energy.
For a table here, reservations are required, and admission is for guests aged 21 and over. At 201 N. Peoria St., small plates and tender skewers accompany the drinks. Each table needs to purchase an item from the food menu. Happy hour offers include 3 dollar Old Fashioneds, 5 dollar prosecco and appetizers at half price. The cover charge is 10 dollars after 8 PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Hours run Wednesday from 6 PM to midnight, Thursday from 6 PM to 1 AM, Friday from 6 PM to 2 AM and Saturday from 5 PM to 3 AM, with Sunday through Tuesday closed.
